Bruno Sa de La Rocque Guimaraes
Bruno graduated magna cum laude in Physics and Astronomy. He is a masters student in the UNM Nuclear Engineering Department and an MR Imaging research assistant in the lab. Bruno works on developing and testing the fMRI/MRSI data acquisition methodology, acquisition and analysis of multi-modal MRI data in healthy controls and patients with brain lesions, assists with presentation of results, and helps with preparation of conference abstracts and manuscripts.
Khaled Talaat
Khaled is a PhD candidate in nuclear engineering at UNM and affiliated with the lab. Khaled has worked on method and software development for nuisance regression in high-speed resting state fMRI (hsrs-fMRI) that mitigate the introduction of artifacts to high frequencies. He developed the TurboFilt package which provides a GUI-enabled environment for the development and evaluation of post-processing techniques for hsrs-fMRI in MATLAB.
